Quick answer
Charty Party is a party game where players create absurdly funny charts based on prompts, making it a hit for groups who love creative humor and quick thinking.
What makes Charty Party different from other party games?
Most party games rely on trivia or wordplay. Charty Party stands out by asking players to draw charts that visualize silly relationships—like 'How likely is my cat to plot world domination?' The humor comes from the unexpected connections, not artistic skill.
The game uses a unique chart-based format that encourages creativity and laughter. It's less about winning and more about sharing a funny perspective with the group.
Who will enjoy Charty Party most?
Charty Party works best with groups of 4-10 players who appreciate offbeat humor and don't take themselves too seriously. It's a great icebreaker for parties or a lighthearted addition to game night.
If your group prefers strategic or competitive games, Charty Party may feel too casual. The scoring is simple, and the fun comes from the charts themselves rather than complex rules.
Frequently asked questions
- How do you play Charty Party?
- Each round, one player reads a prompt card that describes a chart topic (e.g., 'How much I trust my Wi-Fi throughout the day'). All other players draw their own chart on a dry-erase board, plotting the relationship as they see it. The reader then picks the funniest chart, and that player scores a point. Play continues until someone reaches the winning score.
- How long does a game of Charty Party take?
- A typical game lasts 30-45 minutes, depending on group size and how much time you spend laughing at the charts. The box suggests 4-10 players, and rounds move quickly once everyone gets the hang of it.
- Do you need to be good at drawing to play?
- Not at all. The humor comes from the idea and the label, not artistic skill. Stick figures and simple lines work perfectly. In fact, messy charts often get more laughs because they look intentionally absurd. If your group hesitates about drawing, reassure them that the game rewards creativity, not art talent.
- What comes in the box?
- The standard edition includes a deck of prompt cards, dry-erase boards, markers, and a rulebook. The components are designed for repeated use, so you can play many times without running out of prompts.
- Can you play Charty Party with kids?
- The standard edition is intended for ages 17 and up because some prompts reference adult situations or mature humor. If you're playing with younger teens, you can skip or rephrase certain cards, but there is no separate all-ages edition in this product line. For family game night, consider previewing the prompt deck first or looking for the All Ages edition if available.
