Explore the new game modes introduced in the Skyscratchers Expansion Pack and how they change your cat tower building experience.
Quick answer
The Skyscratchers Expansion Pack introduces new game modes that add variety and challenge to your cat tower building sessions, but it requires the base game to play.
What the expansion adds
The Skyscratchers Expansion Pack is designed to expand your base game with fresh objectives and rules. While the core mechanics remain, the new modes shift the strategic focus, making each game feel different. This is ideal for players who have mastered the original and want more depth without buying a whole new game.
Trade-offs to consider
Since this is a pre-order expansion pack, it does not include the base game components. You must already own Skyscratchers to use it. Additionally, the new modes may not suit every play group; some modes introduce more complex scoring or time pressure, which could be less enjoyable for casual or younger players.
Diagnosis: Is the Skyscratchers Expansion Pack right for you?
- Symptom: You enjoy Skyscratchers but feel the base game is becoming repetitive.
- Likely cause: The base game offers limited variety in objectives and scoring paths, leading to similar play experiences each time.
- Corrective action: Add the Skyscratchers Expansion Pack to introduce new game modes that change the strategic landscape, providing fresh challenges. Make sure you have the base game ready, as the expansion does not include core components.
- Stop or choose another option: If you do not own the base Skyscratchers game, or if your group prefers simple, quick games, this expansion may not be the right fit. Consider a standalone party game instead.
