Frequently asked questions

Do I need the base Tiny Laser Heist game to use this expansion?

Yes. The Double Cross Expansion Pack does not include the base game. You must own the base Tiny Laser Heist game to use the expansion.

What new mechanics does the expansion introduce?

It adds three new elements: Glitter Locks (more complex puzzles that require extra steps to unlock), Sabotage Cards (special cards that let you hinder other players' progress), and a Bribable Guard (a physical obstacle that can be bribed to move or ignore certain actions).

Does the expansion make the game harder or more competitive?

Both. Glitter Locks increase puzzle difficulty, while Sabotage Cards and the Bribable Guard add direct player-versus-player interactions. The game becomes more challenging in terms of coordination and more cutthroat in terms of strategy.

Can I still play cooperatively with the expansion?

Yes. The expansion's components can be used in cooperative play if you choose not to use Sabotage Cards against teammates. Glitter Locks and the Bribable Guard still add challenge without forcing competitive play.
